Hello all yee Jedi and Sith Lords, it’s that time of the year, May the 4th! Whichever side of the fandom stand on, we call agree that Star Wars has brought us all togehter under a creed all love.

Yes, I know, we’re “anime”site, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy ‘ol George Lucas’sci-i operatic creation. Luckily I’ve found some things that emcopasses both sides of the spectrum, anime and sci-fi while roaming the internet.

Tie Fighter

First up, we’ve got this here short from Youtuber, OtaKing77077. So, this has been on Youtube for quite some now. If you’re a fan of the Galactic Empire (like I am) than this is for you. I’m not saying that theres a shortage of love for the emmpire, but this right here takes it a new level.

The production quality is superd, and knowing that the animation was all done a single person- that just makes all the more awesome. The way its been animeted harkens back to the days of classically hand drawn animation.

The Clone Wars (2003 Mini-Series)

If any of you all were around back in the early 2000s and had access to Cartoon Network on tv, you’ve probably remembered the Clone Wars catoon- and no, I’m not talking about the 3D version back 2008 (is still a great show).

Created in colaboration with Lucuas Film and Cartoon Network, the Clone Wars mini-series was meant to bridge the events between Attack o the Clones and Revenge of Sith. The series was directed by animator Genndy Tartakovsky best known for Samuri Jack (anohter CN classic I highly recond) brought his animation styling to the series,

While the show has been largely forgotten by most fans, there are still those who search on Youtube to relive some good memories.

Galaxy of Adventures

Lastly, we have Star Wars Galaxy of Adventres. Now just like like the Clone Wars series I’ve mentioned above, Galaxy of Adevntures is an offiicial Star Wars series on YouTube. So, what makes this any different? Here’s how

For some time now, certain Star Wars fans have taken pre-existing footage from Galaxy of Adventures and turning them into anime shorts. Some of them are simple edits, adding some songs from popular anime, and turning them into intros and endings. Take this mashup from the Star Wars Holiday Special and Cowboy Bebop

But one has taken a step further by syncing in Japanese dubs from the films. Galaxy of Adventres was already a fun short web series to watch, but this one YouTuber manged to make not 1 but 2 episodes complete with an OP and ED, sponsor segment, and a commerical. Basically, an anime episode, albiet shorter. Thats some fan dedication, right there.

Anyways, I hope wherever you are, you’re having an amazing Star Wars Day. Also, if yearning form some Stars Wars figures and toys, you alwasys take a look at our Shopee page. May the Force be with you alway.
